It is with great sadness that the family of the late Delphine Best announce her passing on March 19th, 2006 at the Labrador Health Centre at the age of 89 years. She will be sadly missed by her sons: Raymond (Gladys), Judson (Nancy), Frank (Pat), Robert (Sandra), Peter (Joan); daughters: Julia (Ian), Cora (Rodney) and Jean (Klaus); 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters: Sylvia Blake and Ann Ritch, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband Ira, son Leslie and grandson David. Friends may visit The United Church Northwest River, on Wednesday from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Janeway Hospital or to a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
