Obituary of Joseph Curtis
Passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at J.I. O'Connell Centre, Joseph Curtis at the, age of 89 years.
He is survived by his son Gerald (Bud) and his wife Mary of Curling, daughter Gertrude Peck of Labrador City (friend Samuel Allen) and daughter-in-law Joan Curtis of Deer Lake, sister Jean Hynes of Curling, brother David Curtis and his wife Nina of Curling, half brother Ronald Payne of Hawks Bay, twelve grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Sisters-in-law; Stella Curtis, Curling~ Joan Curtis, Comer Brook..:{; Marion (Jack) Allen, Curling, as well as many friends and family. He was predeceased by his wife Ella, 2003, and his son John, 2000, of Deer Lake, son-in-law Delbert Peck 1996, of Labrador City, brothers John and Gordon, sister Kathleen Ca11an of England.
Visitation will take place from. Fillatrer's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Wednesday from 7 to 9:00 p.m., and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Curling, Rev. Ed King officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery Receiving Chapel.
