He leaves to mourn his son William "Billy" Earle, Peterborough, Ontario; daughter Heather Cantwell, Kingston, Ontario; his love of 25 years Kathleen Pittman, Corner Brook; step-daughter Donna Baldwin, Grande Prairie, Alberta; niece Rose-Marie Smith, Fort McMurray, Alberta; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son Ross. Cremation has taken place, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
