Obituary of Harold Joseph Curlew
<p>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold Joseph Curlew announce his passing on Friday, October 1st, 2004 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Bride (Joan), children, Ross (Joy), Labrador City, Carl (Edna), Corner Brook, Jean (Leslie) Janes, Fort McMurray, Lloyd Labrador City and Cyril (Dolores), Deer Lake, 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, brothers, Raymond (Irene), Reidville, Calvin (Dorothy), Douglas (Gladys), Winston (Doreen), Harry (Barbara) all of Deer Lake and Donald, British Columbia, sisters, Mary Ball, Deer Lake, Sadie (Robert) Shears, Port aux Basques and Renee Dinney, Deer Lake, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Ida, brothers, Roy and James, sisters, May, Faye, Bertha and Pearl. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake Saturday, 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 4, at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Deer Lake with Captains Terry and Bonnie Hopkins officiating, with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Wight's Road. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hopsital, Long Term Care Unit.</p>
