It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Douglas Murphy announce his sudden passing at his family residence in Summerside, NL on Monday, December 25, 2017 at the age of 60 years. John resided and worked in Fort McMurray, Alberta for 30 years as a heavy equipment operator with Local Union 955 returning to reside to the place he loved most "His Home." John leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories father Earl Murphy, Summerside; son Chad Murphy (Banna), Ontario; grandchildren: Chloe and Emily Murphy, Ontario; brother Todd Murphy (Julia); sister Vivian Loder (Terry); nieces: Stacy Christopher (Fred), Mallory Loder (Dave) and Mary Loder; nephews: Bruce Murphy (Jade) and Brandon Murphy (Tara); very special great nephews who will dearly miss him Wesley Christopher and Jaxson Murphy; aunts and uncles: Lottie Janes (Randy), Ruby Harrison, Nora Cheeseman, Annie Christianson and Jack Hann (Deloris); good buddy and cousin George Sheppard along with a large circle of relatives and friends. John was predeceased by mother Laura Murphy, sister Trudy Murphy whom he missed dearly and brother Richard Loder. Cremation has taken place.
