Passed peacefully away on Monday, February 11th, 2008 at the O’Connell Center, Corner Brook OLIVE FIELD at the age of 93. Olive was affectionately known as Aunt Holly to those who loved her. She leaves to mourn her sister Susie Darrigan, brothers: Ronald Sheppard (Eileen Youden), Ross Sheppard, James Sheppard (Joan ), Isaac Sheppard jr. (Doris);sister-in-law Priscilla Sheppard; step children: Ena Porter (John), Elaine Libertini (Tony) and Fred Field niece & caregiver Dossie Pennell (Ralph), as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. She will also be missed by her special friend Robert Joyce of the Guardian Angel Seniors Home. She was Predeceased by her first husband Walter Sheppard, second husband Fred Field; brothers Cyril Sheppard & Clayton Sheppard; sister Georgina Sheppard and parents Isaac & Phoebe Sheppard and step-son Bob Field. Visitation will be held at St. James Church, Lark Harbour Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. followed by the funeral service Thursday, February 14th at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating. The interment will be held at St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery, Curling Street. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. James Church Memorial Fund. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street.
