CHARLES PATRICK SHEPPARD FLAT BAY, NL APRIL 12, 1960 - FEBRUARY 9, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charles Patrick Sheppard announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the age of 47 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Naomi Sheppard; fiancee Jackie Lasaga; mother Lucy Sheppard; father Charles Webb; sister Nora Ann (Lester) Glover; brother Glen (Dianne Bennett); several nieces, one nephew as well as a large number of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents Patrick and Rose Sheppard of Flat Bay. Charles worked as a Fisheries Guardian with the Federation of Newfoundland Indians and participated with great interest with the Canadian Rangers. Charles was extremely proud of his Mikmaq Ancestry. Friends may visit St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Flat Bay on Monday beginning at 3:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will follow at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Cemetery in Flat Bay. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
