<p>The family of the late Gillard A. Baikie announce his passing on July 7, 2017 at the Long Term Care Unit in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 87 years.&nbsp; He will be sadly missed by his brother, Hector (Edith) and sister, Hazel McLean; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.&nbsp; He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Naomi Baikie, and his siblings, Silas, Sibyl and Phyllis. Cremation will take place&nbsp;with a&nbsp;memorial service&nbsp;to be arranged at a later date.</p>
