Obituary of Emma Jane Crocker
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emma Jane Crocker announce her passing on Friday, October 1, 2004 at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris point at the age of 102 years, 2 days short of her 103rd birthday. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Maxine (Clarence) Barnes, Myra (Gilbert) Crocker, Ronald (Minnie), Elva (Fred) Romain, Winston (Deloris), Wilfred (Priscilla) and Ernie, 42 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great grandchildren, niece Delilah Duval and brother-in-law Isaac Crocker, as well as many other relatives, friends and the staff at the Bonne Bay Health Centre. She was predeceased by her husband, Grant, children, Gwendoline and baby, Victor and Roy, daughters-in-law, Elizabeth and Geraldine. Visitation was held at the United Church in Trout River on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service will take place today, Monday, October 4th, with Rev. Dr. Tony Newell officiating. Interment will follow at the United Church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the United Church Memorial Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake.
