McDonald Michael “Mick” Deer Lake, NL December 26, 1926 - February 5, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael McDonald announce his passing on Tuesday, February 5th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 81 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Nancy (nee Green); children: Glynn (Rebecca), St. John’s, Sharon (Derrick) George, St. John’s; most treasured grand-daughters: Karla (Roger) Stanley, Sioux Lookout, ON, Jana George, St. John’s; great-grandchildren: Brandon and Dylan; sisters and brothers: Bob (Mary), Ronnie (Margaret), Andy (Barbara), Bonnie (Roy) Gaudon, Helen (John) Hessler; sisters-in-law: Martha, Belle, Rita, Margaret (Frank) Sheppard, Rita Bridger; brothers-in-law: Greg and Dino, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by brothers: Ted, Jim, Richard “Dick”, Aloysuis, Jerry, sisters: Margarette , Marie, Madonna, brother-in-law Ian Bridger and sister-in-law Bella McDonald. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Wednesday, February 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., from where the funeral will take place on Thursday, February 7th at 10:30 am, with Father Aidan Devine officiating. Interment to follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wights Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
