Obituary of Nicole Brandy Skinner
Please share a memory of Nicole Brandy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
<p><span>It is with a heavy heart we announce the tragic death of our baby girl, Nicole Brandy Skinner. She passed on April 23rd, 2017 at the age of 15, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Her passing was both sudden and unexpected. Our daughter was the light of our lives, she had a heart of gold and cared deeply for everyone. She was caring and compassionate, a wonderful daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, girlfriend and friend. A beautiful person inside and out, she had a zest for life, she loved to play her guitar and sing, spending time in her trailer with family and friends.<span>&nbsp; </span>Nicole loved the outdoors, ski-dooing, fishing, boating, squid jigging and driving ATV. She also enjoyed quiet time with her family and listening to music. Nicole was involved in a variety of sports, volleyball, hockey, softball and figure skating. She was a volunteer at the Calder Health Care Centre where she brought so much joy to both residents and staff. Nicole will be deeply missed by her parents Brad and Jackie Skinner, grandparents, Hubert and Laura Skinner, Elizabeth Dollimount, Guy (Florence) Dollimount, uncles and aunts; Tammy and Tim White, Andre and Ginger Lushman, Terry and Patsy Skinner, Corey and Lesley Skinner; cousins Andrew Lushman, Susan Skinner, Reed and Lily Skinner; devoted and loving boyfriend Nick Standing and her baby boy Cuddles; a large circle of friends within the community and in her school of Burgeo Academy. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at the Calder Health Care Centre and the Ambulance staff for everything they did for their sweet sweet angel. We would also like to thank the staff and students/friends at Burgeo Academy for honouring the beautiful life of our precious angel. We thank family and friends, neighbours and all the members of our wonderful town for the love and support during this heartbreaking time. Friends and family may visit Faith United Church in Burgeo on Tuesday evening and Wednesday. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 27th at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church with Reverend Oake officiating. </span></p>
