It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cecil Howe announce his passing on Sunday, February 3rd, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 68 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Elizabeth (Betty), (nee Scanlon); three sons: Corey (Cheryl), Lower Sackville, NS, Brian (Stephanie), Corner Brook and Tony (Donna), Kitchner, ON; six precious grandsons: Blake, Nicholas, Jordan, David, Kyle and Justin; brothers: Edwin (Gertrude), St. John’s, Harold (Marie), Massey Drive, Roy (Helen), Trout River and Stan (Josephine), Halifax, NS; one sister: Elizabeth, Hamilton, ON; brothers and sisters-in-law: Patrick (Geraldine) Scanlon, Darius (Ellen) Scanlon, John Scanlon, Maureen (Ivan) Rumbolt, Jeanette Caines, Ellen Scanlon and Beatrice (Melvin) Patey; as well as large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parent: Thomas and Sarah Howe; brothers: Frank and Thomas. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 7th at 10:30 A.M. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Father Don Leonard officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daffodil Place or to the charity of ones choice.
