Richard John Dormody, passed away peacefully at his home in Benoits Cove surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, Febuary 2, 2006 at the age of 83. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, his brother Derrick Dormody and wife Ellen with whom he resided, special nieces and nephews: Danny (Alicia) and their son Brandon, Jim (Kathy), Kathleen (Trevor); sister Ellen (Nell) White and husband William, Benoits Cove, brother Ralph Dormody and wife Leonce, Alberta; sisters-in-law: Maude Dormody, Benoits Cove, Bernice Dormody, Ontario; special nieces: Kate Duffy, Eva Hackett and cousin Isabelle Barry and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by parents James and Elzabeth, brothers: Edward (Ned) and James, sisters: Margaret Cammie, Frances Donahue, Eileen Wayson, Kathleen Sparrow. The Funeral Mass will be held Monday, February 6th at 10:30 a.m. from Our lady Star of the Sea, Benoits Cove, Father Bernard Buckle officiating, followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made the VON or Our Lady Star of the Sea.
