He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Rudy (Judy), Elva (Curtis) Janes, Eugene (Linda), Linda (Ross) Mitchelmore, Elmer (Barbara), Sylvia (Darrell) Meade and Bruce (Michelle); brother: Carl (Marion) Gillett; brother in-law: Calvin (Queen) Pelley; sister’s in-law: Alma Potter and Joyce Gillett, as well as a large circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife Jean; his loving son Rodney William Gillett; parents William and Matilda Gillett; brothers: Lewis and Sandy. A special thank you to the staff of Long Term Care for your compassionate care of dad during his stay there. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 9 at 2:30 p.m. from First Pentecostal Church, Premier Drive with Pastor Larry Soper officiating. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Batstone’s Road. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to First Pentecostal Church.
