Obituary of Dianah Mercedes Simmonds

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dianah Mercedes Simmonds announce her passing on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 64 years Llewellyn; children: Randy, Debbie (Danny) Day, Wanda (Willis) Baker, Wilma, Mona, Terry (Violet), Kathy (Dennis) Shmorong, Keith (Barbara) and Dale; daughter-in-law Barbara Simmonds; 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; extended family Roger Gillian and his family; brothers: Cyril and Fred Buffett and their families; brother-in-law Jack Simmonds and his family; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Evangeline Buffett, father-in-law Charles Simmonds, oldest son Wayne Simmonds, son-in-law Terry Penney, daughters-in-law Jackie Janes and Tanice Wright, brothers-in-law Bill and Fred Simmonds, Henry Green and Frank Howe, sisters-in-law Florence Green, Jean Howe, Violet and Ada Buffett. Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal visitation or funeral service as per Dianah’s request. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of 3B and a special thank you to Dr. Caines.
