<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late John &quot;Minto&quot; Maxwell announce his passing on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility surrounded by his family in his 93</span><sup><span style="font-size: small;">rd</span></sup><span style="font-size: medium;"> year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 70 years Mabel (nee Prosper); children: Dave (Linda), Gander, Garry (Elizabeth), Corner Brook, Dianne (Percy) Chaytor, Glenwood, Rod (Sherry), Corner Brook and Lorne (Debbie), Gander; grandchildren: Shawn, Natasha, Jamie, Janice, Tracey Lynn, Chantal, Leigh-Ann, Adrienne and Sabrina; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Chloe, Joshua, Kelsey, Zachary, Loclynn and Cassidy; brother Roy (Val), Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Gertrude Maxwell, parents-in-law James and Alfreda Prosper, brothers William, Frank and Leslie, sisters Phyllis, Mabel, Grace and Margaret. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. There will be no formal visitation. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 18 at 2:00 p.m. from The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street with The Very Rev. Baxter Park officiating.
