<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Happy Valley-Goose Bay</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward Maidment announce his passing on December 28, 2016 at the Labrador Grenfell Health Centre in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 90 years.  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">He will be sadly missed by his wife, Ruth; his children, George (Diane), Frank (Pamela), Brenda (Albert), Cathy (Rodney) and Lisa (Curtis); several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and his "special baby", Tara; siblings Louise, Clara (Albert), Fred (Ruby), Gladys, Ada and Hazel (John) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Mary Ann, his daughter, Gloria and his brothers Samuel and William.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Goose Bay on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Funeral will be Monday, January 2, 2017 from the United Church with interment in the United Cemetery.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Diabetic Association in Edward’s memory.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">Special thanks to the staff at the Long Term Care Facility.</span><span style="font-size: medium;">  </span><span style="font-size: medium;">To sign the family guestbook, you may visit our website at www.fillatre.ca</span></span></p>
