It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our amazing son, grandson, brother, uncle, boyfriend, and father Carl Keith Fowler. Carl was born on December 13th, 1973 to parents, Joe and Myra Fowler of Capstan Island, Labrador. Besides his parents, he leaves behind grandmother, Elfrieda Normore, sisters; Kim Fowler, Christine Fowler (George), brother; Gerald Fowler (Via) and his sister, best friend and for many years his second mother, Nancy Normore (Bernard). Carl is survived by 5 beautiful nieces: Carlee, Natalie, Emma, Kate, and Gerissa and 2 nephews; Keith and Christopher. Also, leaving to mourn is his girlfriend, Jessica Cummings. His legacy lives on in his daughter, Mikayla Rose Wallace. Carl is remembered by a large extended family and many very close friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Stanford Normore and his paternal grandparents, Mary (Stella) and William (David) Fowler.Carl had medical issues that started from an early age but, although his sickness may have at times slowed him, it did not stop him from enjoying life. He loved cars, motorcycles, and snowmobiles, the faster the better and was not one to sit idle on the sidelines watching them. He appreciated and recognized all the support from family, friends, and the people within his community for him over the years. The devotion and love of others moulded him into a man who would lend a hand to anyone in need. When he was able he'd answer the call for help without a second thought or hesitation. His greatest and most cherished accomplishment was and is his daughter, Mikayla. She was the apple of his eye and even when he was feeling weak he'd always keep smiles on reserve just for her.Sadly, Carl passed away on November 28th, 2016 after a short stay at the Health Science Centre. The family wishes to thank all the staff, nurses, and doctors at the Health Science Centre as well as the other numerous hospitals that Carl had been a patient of over the years. His service and burial have already taken place. "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. Carl, you were a miracle and with the birth of your daughter, a creator of a miracle as well.
