Obituary of Bessie Jane (nee: Crant) Parks

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bessie Jane Parks announce her passing on Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 86 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband John Parks; two daughters: Mary Kearley and Lorraine Hemsley (Ron), Corner Brook; two grandsons: Bill Hemsley and Shawn Hemsley (Charlene),Corner Brook; great-grand-daughter Teagan Hemsley; two sisters: Lilly Rose, Corner Brook, and Mary Piercey (Bob), St. John's; brother Eldred Crant (Hazel), Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Veronica Hibbs, Badger, Anne Hibbs (Gordon), St. Andrews and Elizabeth Hickey, Courtenay, BC; brother-in-law Willie Parks, Badger; special nieces & nephews: Elsie Colbourne (Fred), John Rose (special friend Margaret Butt), Bessie Callahan (Mick), Ches Rose (Jocelyn), Harriett Crant, Lillian Draper (David), Russell Crant (Sharon), Myrtle Langdon (John), Eldred Piercey, Gladys Langdon (Clayton), Roland Piercey (Linda), Bernice Loveless (Claude) and Terry Piercey (Darlene); along with a large circle of great nieces & nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband William Kearley, Belloram, father and mother John and Elsie Crant, Pass Island and father & mother-in-law William and Mary Parks, Badger. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street. Reverend Derek Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Mental Health Initatives or a charity of one's choice.
