It is with great sadness that the family of the late Calvin Payne announce his passing on Friday, January 11th, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 55 years. Calvin was recently predeceased by his loving wife Hollie on January 6th, 2008. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his two sons: Owen and Adam; sister: Judy (Clarence) Park, Cox’s Cove, and their children: Lorne (Deidre) and Rayen; Laura (Rick); brothers: Wayne Payne, Cox’s Cove and his children: Janice (Leo) Legge, Lindsay and Kaitlyn; Judy (Lonnie) Wells and Tanner; Darrell (Vera) Payne, Summerside, and their children: Cathy (Tyrone) Park, Cara and Callie; Lisa, Scott and Brett; Lonnie (Kim) Hussey, Kitchner, ON, and their children: Nikki and Shelby; Ivan Park, Cox’s Cove; he is also leaving to mourn his adoptive family, “The Family of the late Winnifred Park”; a special cousin, Jacqueline (Glen) Rumbolt and boys, Meadows; sisters-in-law: Cecilia Payne, Toronto, ON, Susie McLean, Summerside and Mary (Alex) Park, brothers-in-law: Mederick (Bernice) Park, Gerald (Nancy) Park, Samuel (Jeanette) Park, Llewellyn (Brenda) Park and Russell (Joan) Park, all residing in Cox’s Cove; aunts and uncles: Rhoda Twyne (Edgar), Laurence Parsons (Eileen), Melvin (Rowena) Parsons, Blandford (Bernice) Parsons, Wade (Pauline) Parsons, all residing in McIvers; and his very very special dog chong; as well as a large circle of other nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends, too many to mention. Predeceased by his parents Marie Payne and Dominic Delaney; mother and father-in-law: Olive and Samuel Park; sister and brothers -n-law: Hilda and Bill Park and James McLean. Friends may visit St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove beginning on Saturday at 2:00 p.m from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, January 14th at 2:00 P.M. Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of ones choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue, Corner Brook.
