<p><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span lang="EN">It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Leo Harold Bennett, announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Sunday, September 4<sup><span style="font-size: small;">th</span></sup> at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in his 87<sup><span style="font-size: small;">th </span></sup>year. He is survived by his daughter Carolyn (Rick) Swyers, St. George’s, NL; sons, Gary (Sylvia), Brantford, ON, Randy, St. George’s, NL, Anthony, St. George’s, NL, Troy (Barb) London, ON and Craig, St. George’s NL. Grandchildren: Leanne (Michael), Gary (Leigh), Ryan, Lance, Jessica, Kristal, Dinah, R.J. and Tara. Great-Grandchildren: Alix, Madison, Peyton, his "little one" Isabelle, Alekzandria, Zackary, William, Jackson and Greyson. He is survived by one sister, Geraldine, Sussex, NB as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years Majorie, infant son Paul, daughter Shirlene. Parents William and Margaret; brothers, George, Gordon, Augustus and sister Dorothy. The family would like to thank the staff of Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre for caring for our father/grandfather and for the compassion shown to our family at this difficult time. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 7 - 9 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s, NL from where the funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shallop Cove, NL. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society or Bay St. George Long Term Care Center. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.</span></span></p>
