<p align="center">Emma Maxine</p> <p align="center">Pitcher</p> <p align="center">(nee Pye)</p> <p align="center">Corner Brook, NL</p> <p align="center">May 4, 1929 – July 8, 2016</p> <p> </p> <p>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Emma Maxine Pitcher announce her passing on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 66 years Lewis; daughters: Beverley, Susan (Paul) Roué and Paula (Gord) MacWhirter; son Chris; 4 grandchildren: Cheryl, Richard, Joshua and Marc; 2 great-grandchildren: Mackenzie and Mason; sister Mary Slade; brother-in-law Chesley Verge; furry friend Cheddar; long time family friend Lynnette Taylor; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Archibald and Evelyn Pye, brother Clifford (Beatrice) Pye and sister Vivian Verge. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Curling Street with The Venerable Edward King officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
