It is with great sadness that the family of the late Reuben Perry announce his passing on Sunday, January 6th, 2008 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 81 years. He leaves to mourn his son Calvin (Gloria), Hawkes Bay, granddaughters: Barbie (Faron), Hawkes Bay and Tammy (Darren), Port Saunders, great-granddaughter Kaitlynn, brothers: David (Thelma), Alberta, Bert (Carmen) and Algie (Annie) all of Hawkes Bay, sisters: Beth Payne, Port Saunders and Senna Hoddinott, Hawkes Bay, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Betty, parents Bert and Esther Perry, brothers Jim, Hubert, Nigel and sister Adeliade House. The family will be receiving friends from Bethel Pentecostal Church in Hawkes Bay Sunday evening and Monday from where the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 8th at 2:00 PM with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Interment to follow at the Church Cemetery, River of Ponds. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
