CURTIS JESSIE MURIEL MARIE CORNER BROOK, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jessie Curtis announce her passing at the J.I. O'Connell Centre on Tuesday, December 20th, 2005 at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories ; her husband of 62 years, Harold Gordon, DVA Unit, O'Connell Centre; daughter: Beverley Wareham (Ted), Labrador City; son: Ed (Irvene), Corner Brook; four grandchildren: Dionne Wareham (Jamie) and Jamie Wareham (Danna), Todd Curtis (Arlene) and Tracy Curtis (Steve); four great grandchildren: Destiny and Devlin Wareham, Daniel and Heidi Curtis; sisters: Madge Rowsell (Gerald), Nealie Snow (Reuben); brother: Boyce Ryan (Marie); sister-in-law: Beulah Ryan, all residing in Roberts Arm, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter: Sherry, 1976, brothers: Harold, Percy, Hughie, Moody and Billy; sisters: Stella and Rita; parents: Edmund and Florence. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23rd at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, Park Street. Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of ones choice.
