<p align="center"><strong><span>Elsie Strickland</span></strong></p> <p align="center"><span>1942-2016</span></p> <p align="center"><span>Burgeo, NL</span></p> <p><span>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Strickland announce her passing on Wednesday, April 26th, 2016 at the Calder Health Care Centre in Burgeo at the age of 74 years.</span><span>Predeceased by her </span><span>husband Freeman Strickland; </span><span>parents Samuel & Mary Helen Porter; </span><span>brothers Samuel, Lonso, Victor, Henry and Gordon. </span><span>She leaves to mourn her children, </span><span>Sylvia </span><span>Eileen (Boyd), </span><span>Bonnie (Todd), </span><span>Corey (Jill) and  </span><span>Mark (Ashley); </span><span>Grandchildren; BJ, Colby, Brittany and Jennifer;  </span><span>Sister Sylvia;  </span><span>Brother Albert (Lucy), as well as a large circle of nieces ,nephews, other relatives and friends. </span><span>Friends may visit St. John the Evangelist Church in Burgeo on Thursday from  2-4 and 7-9:00 P.M., from where The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29<sup>th</sup> at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend David Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Community Cemetery.</span></p> <p><span> </span></p>
