<p>  </p> <p>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lloyd Sparkes announces his sudden passing on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at St. Clares Mercy Hospital, in St. John’s in his 85th year. He leaves to mourn with loving memories, his wife Betty, his children: Christine (John), Jackie, Donna (Bruce) and Darren, His Step-children: Gloria (Alvin), Dwight (Elaine) and Brian (Jocelyn), his grandchildren: Michael, Christopher, Tammy, Matthew, Sara, Samantha, Mark, Paul and Cory, his step-grandchildren: Tina, Ken, Dwayne, Shanson, Corina, Christopher and Crystal, as well as several great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister, Brada Parsons and brother, Melvin Sparkes. He was predeceased by his wife Cora and his daughter Iris (Fred), and also by his parents and several siblings. Friends may visit St. Matthews Anglican Church, 122 Main Street North in Rocky Harbour on Tuesday, from 7-9pm and on Wednesday from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral service to take place from St. Matthews Anglican Church on Thursday, February 25<sup>th</sup> at 2pm with Rev. Canon Terry Rose and Bishop Whitten officating.Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
