<p><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Llewellyn Pearce announces his passing on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 with his loving family by his side at the Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Center at the age of 86. Born in Cape Ray, he was the son of the late Emmanuel and&nbsp;Amelia (Short) Pearce. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children, Arthur (Francis) Lomond, Port-aux-Basques) Roy (Laverna) Lomond, Port-aux-Basques, Judy (Neil) Rogers, Yarmouth, NS and Melvin Pearce (Dee Sexton) Port-aux-Basques, grandchildren, Shawn Lomond, Stephanie and Daniel Pearce, Sarah, Glynis and Leslie Rogers and Darcy Glavine. Brother and sisters, Frank (Doreen) Pearce, Cape Ray, Elsie (Roderick) Parsons, Phyllis Piercey, both of Port-aux-Basques, a large circle of nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends. Lew was predeceased by his wife, Catherine Pearce, sisters, Theresa Currie, Caroline Pike, Frances Coffin, Dorcas Pearce, Catherine Pearce and Bridget Pearce, brothers, Joseph and Nelson Pearce. Visitation taking place Friday, January 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, Port-aux-Basques. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul&rsquo;s Anglican Church, Grand Bay, officiated by Rev. Steven Maki, interment to follow at St. Paul&rsquo;s Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Center.
