MARIAH BERNICE YOUNG (NEE: HARRIS) Heatherton, NL May 18, 1955 - December 15, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mariah Young announce her passing on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the QE II Hospital, Halifax, NS at the age of 52 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Alphonsus; children: Kenneth (Connie), St. George’s, Amanda Young (Brad Hynes), Lark Harbour, Angela (James) King, Corner Brook, Ashley Young, Heatherton, Holly (Michael Matchem), Edmonton, AB; brothers: Arthur (Violet) Harris, Heatherton, James (Regina) Harris, Jeffrey’s, Allen Harris, St. George’s, Raymond (Jenny) Harris, ON; sister: Dorothy Harris (Stephen Ryan), Stephenville; special granddaughter “Our Little Weed” Emily Young, grandson: Jeremy Dennis, Mother-in-law: Emma Mae Young, Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Myrtle Harris (nee. Lace), father Frederick Harris and sister Ethel Harris. Friends may visit St. George’s Anglican Church, Robinsons on Thursday, Dec. 20 from 12 noon ’til 1:30 p.m., from where funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. with Reverend Karen Laldin officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, NL Chapter.
