<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred Burton announces his passing on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Center with his family by his side. Born in Rose Blanche, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Pink) Burton. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving  memories, his son, Jeffrey Burton, Corner Brook, brothers, George (Annie May) Hayman, Codroy and Murdock (JoAnne) Hatcher, Harbour Le Cou and sister, Maggie (Wilburn) Rose, Rose Blanche, special friend, Dale Barnes, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends.  He was predeceased by his wife, Sandra (Samson) Burton, step father, Phillip Hatcher and mother and father in law, Mac and Rita Samson and brother in law, Albert Samson. In keeping with Wilfred’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port–aux - Basques. A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, October 12 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael’s and All Angels Church in Rose Blanche, officiated by Rev. Mary Rose Colbourne. Inurnment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.
