NATHANIEL COATES Deer Lake, NL August 20th, 1933 - December 14th, 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nathaniel Coates announce his passing on Friday, December 14th, 2007 at his family residence in Deer Lake with his loving and devoted wife of 51years Julia (nee Hughes) by his side. He also leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Amos (Ida) Coates, Barbara Ball and Terry (Jackie) Coates, son-in-law Rory Mayo, grandchildren: Jonathan (Susan) and Sarah Ball, Jessica Patey, Joshua and Jessica Coates and Jennifer Mayo, step-grandchildren: Stacy and Candice Mayo, sisters: Bessie Woodward, Millie Woodward and Keziah Woodward, brothers: Wilfred (Becky) Coates and Wyman (Catherine) Coates, brother-in-law Leslie (Barbara) Hughes, sister-in-law Phoebe Coates, caregiver Beatrice Green, devoted friends Cliff and Gladys Laing. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Brenda Mayo, son-in-law David Ball, parents Phillip and Dorcas Coates, parents-in-law Thomas and Jessie Hughes, brothers Lawrence, Hubert and Jack Coates, sister Elsie Coates, brothers-in-law Abel, George, Tom and Nick Hughes and sister-in-law Minnie Diamond. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Saturday and Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 17th at 2:00 PM from St. Michael and All Angels’ Anglican Church with Rev. Canon John Meade officiating. Interment to follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. Michaels’ and all Angels Anglican Church Accessability Fund or to a charity of one’s choice.
