It is with great sadness that the family of the late Laura Brake announce her passing at the Corner Brook Interfaith Home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 5, 2004 at the age of 90. She will be sadly missed by her children; four sons; Joseph, Robert (Peg), Kevin and Bruce (Jr) of Corner Brook, three daughters; Margaret Kennedy (Martin) of Irishtown, Mary Ann (Johm) of Corner Brook and Pauline Gillingham (Austin) of Cox's Cove, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother Leo Kelly, Gambo and brother-in-law Gordon Bernard, Bishops Falls. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce, December 17, 1965, daughter Theresa, February 26, 1996 and grandson Bobby, August 20, 1973. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 7 at 10:30 A.M. from All Hallows Church, Humber Road, officiated by Fr. Gordon Grace. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Receiving Chapel. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Corner Brook Interfaith Home.
