It is with great sadness that the family of the late Betty Mahoney announce her sudden passing at her residence on Tuesday, November 8th, 2005 at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her husband of 50 years, William, The Interfaith Home; sons: William (Vickie), Colin (Susan) and Timothy; daughters: Suzanne, Trudy, Peggy (Mike) and Christina, all residing in Corner Brook; grandchildren: Natasha Walsh, Jade, Justin and Jordan Mahoney, Richard and Nicholas Mahoney, John Louvelle, Tommy Selig, Shane Boland and Megan Mahoney; great grandchildren: Joshua Hynes and Emma Young; special niece: Donna (Wilton) Wheeler, Benoit's Cove; sisters: Mary Coles (William), Jean Kaye, Toronto, ON, Ann Ford (Fred), Patricia Good (Loran), Sheila Hicks (Roy), Judy Park and Pauline Wilton, Corner Brook, Danica Cossitt (Bill), Dartmouth, NS; brothers: Ralph Wilton, Corner Brook and Robert Wilton, Montreal, QC, sisters-in-law: Elizabeth penny (Bill), Corner Brook, Nora Young (Carl), Stephenville, Anastacia Mahoney, Conn. USA, and Mary Mahoney, St. John's, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: Gordon Wilton, 1996, Maude (O'Keefe) Wilton, 1999, sister: Shirley, 1957, brothers; Hezekiah, 1933 and Ronald, 2003; sisters-in-law: Irene Wilton, Margaret Mahoney, Bridget Leonard; brothers-in-law: Robert Park, Alexander Kaye and Phillip O'Connell. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 12th at 10:30 A.M. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Fr. Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
