<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Bishop announce his passing on Thursday July 9, 2015 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 93 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his son: Gary (Elaine) of Pasadena, granddaughter: Connie Bishop Legate of Fort McMurray, Alberta, grandson Michael Bishop of Kelowna, BC, great grandchildren: James and Jenna Legate, brothers: Richard and George, nieces: Jean and Gail, nephew: Wayne, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Marion, Son: Derek, Parents: John (Ethel).</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: medium;">Bill was born and lived in Bay Roberts. Bill graduated grade 11 and did an accounting course through a mail in order which he completed. He then joined the British Merchant Navy and became a payroll officer for The National Defense. After returning from the war ship sailing he moved to the West Coast of Newfoundland where he met Marion King and had two children Gary and Derek. They bought their first home on East Valley Road and lived there for 20 years before Moving to Pasadena. Bill worked with different companies in Management or as a salesman. If you remember eating a bag of Hatfield Chips or buying a can of Carnation milk back in the day, then Bill Bishop supplied the stores with those items and many more. He retired at the age 72 years. Bill and Marion then enjoyed their time at the cabin in Bonne Bay Pond. He lived a full and wonderful life and will be missed by many. Visitation will take place from Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home 4 St. Mark&rsquo;s Avenue on Saturday July 11</span><sup><span style="font-size: small;">th</span></sup><span style="font-size: medium;"> from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 PM, and on Sunday July 12</span><sup><span style="font-size: small;">th</span></sup><span style="font-size: medium;"> from 7-9 PM from Holy Rosary Parish </span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: medium;">in Pasadena from where funeral service will be held on Monday July 13</span><sup><span style="font-size: small;">th</span></sup><span style="font-size: medium;"> at 10:30 AM with Father Gordon Grace officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expression of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to The Royal Canadian Legion Corner Brook.
