Left to mourn are his sisters: Marie (Stanley) Barnes, Clarenville, Mary (Norman) Rose, Grey River and Rose (Allan) Mullins, Corner Brook with whom he resided for many years; brother Garfield (Minnie), Grey River; special nephew Thomas (Marion  Jane Deceased) young, Grey River; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Melita (Bowles) Young, brothers Freeman and Frank Wilfred, sisters-in-law Hazel and Blanche, all of Grey River, nephews Thomas Barnes, Henry Young, Captain Norman Rose and Gary Young. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Emergency Department and the various floors during his many stays. Thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their kindness and care during his short stay there. Thanks are extended to the staff of Mountview House in Meadows for all they did for him and special thanks to Dr. Jerome Davis for the care he provided him for many years. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 31 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with The Venerable Edward King officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
