<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Francis Cooke announce his passing on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 56 years Betty (nee Quigley); children: Brian (Laura), Desmond, Kenneth (Mary) and Douglas; grandchildren: Aiden, Matthew, Brennan and Jenna; sisters-in-law: Pauline Staples, Jean (Pete) Daniels, Barbara (Rich) Williams, Maxine Quigley, Maureen Brockway and Sheila (Les) Hoyles; brothers-in-law: Mike (Barbara) Quigley, Tim (Georgina) Quigley, Bill (Genevieve) Quigley and Jim Myrden; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents James and Mary Cooke, parents-in-law Timothy and Dorothy Quigley, brothers John L&nbsp;"Jack", James (Jean) and Don (Josephine), sisters Molly (Leon) Dion and Lucy (Joe) Garfunkel, sister-in-law Patricia Myrden and brother-in-law Thomas "Bud" Quigley. &nbsp;Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark&rsquo;s Avenue on Sunday 2-4 &amp; 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 25 at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Father Edward Terry officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Shepherd&rsquo;s Fund or the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
