<p><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span lang="EN">The family of the late John Martin Oliver announce his peaceful passing on Thursday, April 9, 2015 under the excellent care of the Long Term Care Facility, Corner Brook, NL at the age of 100 years. He is survived by his loving partner of 25 years Eva Mary Rose and a wonderful extended family of nieces, nephews and their families. He is predeceased by his parents John &amp; Veronica Oliver; wife Susan (nee: Perrier); son Alphonsus; brothers: Peter, David; sisters: Margaret, Susan and Ada. John had a distinguished military history, serving proudly in the 166<sup><span style="font-size: small;">th</span></sup> Regiment from May 12, 1940 to September 16, 1945. Friends may visits St. Joseph&rsquo;s Parish in St. George&rsquo;s on Friday, April 10<sup><span style="font-size: small;">th</span></sup> from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. from where funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Court House Road, St. George&rsquo;s. As expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, St. George&rsquo;s, or the Royal Canadian Legion, Stephenville.&nbsp;</span></span><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span lang="EN"> Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.</span></span></p>
