<p align="center"><strong>Laris "Manny" Duffy</strong></p> <p align="center"><strong>June 21, 1935 – March 18, 2015</strong></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at the Palliative Care Unit in the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 79 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories:  his four legged buddy Freddie; 4 children: Patricia (Wayne), Josephine (John), Richard (Marchetta), Marlene (Brent); 6 grandchildren: Dale, Leverne (Kary), Kristina (Billy), Cathy (Charles), Devin, Jacqueline; 3 great-grandchildren: Chase, Karilee, Camden; 4 brothers: Johnny Duffy (Jenett), Don Duffy (Loretta), Vince Duffy (Janet), Peter Duffy (Phyllis); 2 sisters: Alice Bennett, Mercedes Compagnon; as well a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Catherine "Kate" Duffy; parents: John and Maude Duffy; brothers: Frank and Albert Duffy; sisters: Marie and Doris Duffy; mother and father-in-law: Eileen and William Wayson. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 21<sup>st</sup>, 2015 at Our Lady Star of the Sea, Benoits Cove at 10:30 am with Father Don Leonard officiating, followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street Thursday and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
