<p><span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peter John Murphy announce his passing on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 94 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Judy (Gordon) Penney, Terry (Rose) Murphy, Brian Murphy, Gary (Crystal) Murphy, Tony (Sue) Murphy, Bruce Murphy and Lisa (Daryl) Wheeler; son-in-law Fred Lyver; grandchildren: Sandra, Tammy, Justin, Terrance, Bernadette, Joseph, Roxanne, Brian, Craig, Colin, Patrick, Matthew, Jason, Jody, Kelly, Mark, Anita, Martin, Evan and Alex; 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Ruby Prosper, Eileen Reid, Barbara Gillam, Linda Cornies and Coletta Hunt; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Anita Murphy (Reid), daughter Diane Lyver, grandchildren Corey Lyver and Gordon James Murphy (Penney); great-grandson Xavier Vail, parents John and Bridget Murphy, step-father John Hunt, brother Jerome, sisters Carmel, Bessie, Annie and Theresa. Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark&rsquo;s Avenue on Tuesday from the hours of 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 &amp; 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 5 at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Avenue with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation Chemo Unit.
