<p>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eileen Battiste announces her passing at Charles LeGrow Health Centre on Monday,&nbsp;December 29,2014&nbsp;at the age of 70. Born in Port-aux-Basques, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Clevett) Blackmore. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter, Roxanne Battiste (Dwayne Sheaves), Port-aux-Basques and son, Brainard (Lynn) Battiste, Bridgewater, NS grandchildren, Brooke, Bailey, David, Shawna and Todd and great grandchildren, Lily, Avah and Finn, brothers and sisters, George( Gloria) Blackmore, Digby, Nova Scotia, Gerald (Margaret) Blackmore, Port-aux-Basques, Jim (Darlene) Blackmore, Ester Pearce and Judy Keeping (Martin Demone), brother and sister in law Arch (Margaret) Osmond, many nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends, especially Betty Lillington, she was predeceased, by her husband, Frederick Battsite, brothers, Richard and Brainard, sisters, Lillian and Hannah. Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 134 Main Street on Tuesday, 2-4 &amp; 7-9 and Wednesday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 31 at 3:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church with Rev.Jeffery Petten officiating. Interment to follow at the St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. In lieu of flowers donations may to made to the family.
