It is with great sadness that the family of the late Golda Elizabeth Matthews announce her passing on Saturday, September 18th, 2004 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 68 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Yvonne (Boyd) Park, Terry (Norma), Corner Brook, Harry (Cindy), Orangeville, ON, John (Violet), Patti (Corey) Lovell, Brampton, ON, and Todd, McIvers, grandchildren, Jo Lynn (Donald), Aaron (Cory), Terry, Sarah (Christopher), Randy, Brian, Janet, Janice, Brent and Blake, great-grandchildren, Zoe, Karysa, Isabella and MacKenzie, brother, Harry (Alice) Parsons, brother-in-law, Ruben Park, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Parsons and sister Drucella. The family received friends from Fillatre's Fillatre Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 to 12:00 noon at the Gospel Hall, McIvers from where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Roy Foster, Frank Loder and Snowden Skiffington officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Todd Matthews Memorial Fund.
