<p><span style="font-family: Calibri;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Leroy Carew announce his sudden passing on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 58 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his parents Michael and Sadie Carew; daughters: Amanda Carew&nbsp;(Adam Oxner) and Allie Carew (Gerald); son Andy (Ellen) Carew; grandson Daniel Oxner; siblings: Michael (Mary) Carew, Trudy (Russell) Gallant and Sandra (Rod) Maddigan; nieces: Jessica Carew and Jennifer Maddigan; nephews: Matthew Carew and Peter Maddigan and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Krista Fudge and Dr. Steve Murphy at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their dedication and care of John over the past several years.&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">A special thanks to the dialysis team for their love and support. Finally thank you to Dr. Tavenor and the nurses of the ICU </span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: medium;">who provided care in his final moments. Funeral service will be held from Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Chapel,</span><span style="font-size: medium;">&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size: medium;">4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday, October 15 at 10:30 AM with Father Ambrose Hynes Officiating. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Dialysis Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
