It is with great sadness that the family of the late CATHERINE MARY GRIFFIN announce her sudden passing on Monday, September 19th, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 72nd year. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Francis Griffin, children: Dwight (Joyce), Byron, Ellen (Mike), Alice (Otto), Judy (Carter), Joan (Elvis), Francis, Mary (Baxter), Leo, Jamie (Sherry); 37 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; sisters & brothers: Joan McCarthy, Ellen McCarthy, Richard White, Joan White and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Allan Butt, daughter Gloria, infant son Dwight Jr. parents Mary Tracey (Buckle) & Jim White, brothers Harry, Urban & Hughie and sister Marie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 22nd at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church, Curling Street Father Bernard Buckle officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Catherine was a member of the Seniors Echo Club, a luncheon will be be held at the club after the funeral mass on Thursday - all are welcome. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
