Passed away Tuesday September 13th, 2005 at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax, NS at the age of 53. Born in Corner Brook, NL he was the son of the late Frank & Irene Purchase. He was a proud member of the Church Lads Brigade (CLB, Boys Band) where he developed into a highly talented drummer. He loved music, photography, cooking and excelled at each of them. He possessed a big heart and cared deeply for those he knew. He worked most of his career at ATV/ASN. He was not always understood but he was loved by all who truly knew him. We hope that you have finally found the peace that you deserve. We will love you always. Surviving is his wife Shirley, daughter Kim Duffy, son Adrian Roy, sisters Elaine Watton, Valerie Pretty, brothers Derek Purchase, Karl Purchase, one grandchild. He was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 17th at 1:30 p.m. from St. John The Evangelist Anglican Cathedral, Main Street The Very Reverend Michael Rice officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Friday from 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Food Bank, CLB Brigade Council or St. John the Evangelist Restoration Fund.
