<p>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Derek Durdle announce his sudden passing on March 25, 2014 at the age of 71 years. He will be sadly missed by a large circle of family and friends. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his beloved wife Sharon of 45 years, his three daughters Jodi (Solomon) Awa, Ciara (Tom) Pittman, and Janet Durdle (Chris); his brother Melvin Durdle (Milton), and sister Beverly Lesiuk (Stew); grandchildren: Charlie, Josephene, Hannah, Brock, Jonathan, Bradey, and Brianna; brothers-in-law: Jim (Jean) Bennett, Gary Bennett (Marilyn), Jason (Meg) Bennett, Daryl (Darlene) Bennett, and sister &ndash;in-law Karen (Dave) Critch; and many nephews and nieces, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends, near and far. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Joyce Durdle, father and mother&ndash;in-law John and Loretta Bennett, and grandson Josh Pittman. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Marriage Commissioner, Notary Public, and retired volunteer Fire Fighter. He has touched the hearts of many people and will continue to live on in our hearts. Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue Friday from 2-4 &amp;7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 29<sup>th</sup> at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church on Park Street with Reverend Clayton Parsons officiating. A reception for family &amp; friends will immediately follow the funeral service in the church hall. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.</p>
