<p>&nbsp;It is with great sadness that the family of <strong>MAXWELL ARTHUR GILBERT</strong> announce his passing on Monday, March 24<sup>th</sup>, 2014 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre at the age of 79. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years Genova, daughter Joanne Payne (Angus), 2 grandchildren: Andrew and Kaitlyn; siblings: Ethel Randell, George (Joyce), Clarence (Rhoda), Violet Gilbert, Ivy Roberts (Joe), and John; sister-in-law Lola McLean, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John &amp; Martha Gilbert; sisters: Annie &amp; her husband Orestus Gardner, Marjorie &amp; her husband Ken Fiander; brothers-in-law: Roy Randell and Shirl McLean; sister-in-law Rowena &amp; her husband Garland Vardy. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 27<sup>th</sup> at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary&rsquo;s Anglican Church, Curling Street with Reverend Rosemarie Payne officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre&rsquo;s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street Wednesday from 2-4 &amp; 7-9 and Thursday from 10:00 am &ndash; 12:00 noon. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer&rsquo;s Association of Newfoundland &amp; Labrador <a href="http://www.alzheimernl.org/">www.alzheimernl.org</a> .
