It is with great sadness that the family of Harold Ward announce his passing on Monday, September 13, 2004 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 74. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife, Effie (nee Knee), two sons, Craig, Halifax, NS, anad Blair (Tracey), Goose Bay, two grandchildren, Ashley and Dana, sister, Sandra Foster (Roy), LaScie, sisters and brothers-in-law, Golda Ward, Mae (Wallace) Burt, Audrey (Ray) Rowe, Jean (Frank) Pilgrim, Beatrice (Winston) Burt, Doreen (Max) Sturge, Dorothy (Aubrey) Budgell, Ben (Maudie) Knee, Douglas (Donna) Knee, Wildred (Peggy) Knee and Frank (Joan) Knee, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Lorenzo and Hazel Ward and brother Lloyd Ward. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday morning 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral service will take place from Humber United Church, Clarence Street on Thursday, September 16th at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Patricia Melindy officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador or to the charity of one's choice.
