GEORGE’S, NL</p> <p>DECEMBER 18, 1935 – FEBRUARY 28, 2014</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alphonsus (Phon) Hall announce his passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the age of 78 years.  Left  to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Veronica; children:  Dale (Leonard) Young, Barbara (Joseph) King, Deborah Harris, Alphonsus (Barbara) Hall, Diane Hall (Eugene Meade), Lorraine (Thomas) Canning, Malcolm (Shirley) Hall, Lisa (Robert) Butt, Martha Hall (Marshall Young), Ashley (Tina) Hall; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters:  Theresa Dunn, Mabel Boland as well as a large number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.  He was pre-deceased by his parents Bernard & Mabel Hall (nee: Lees); daughter Veronica; son Marty; granddaughters;  Gerardetta,  Samantha; brothers:  Bernard, Angus, Thomas, Malcolm; sisters:  Clara and Alice.  To respect and honor  Alphonsus’s  wishes a private family visitation will take place.  The funeral mass will take place on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s with Father Edmund Camacho officiating.  Following the funeral mass a private burial service will take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Shallop Cove.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society in memory of his daughter Veronica.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing. </p>
