REID Elsie Edith (nee Hiscock) February 2, 1918 - August 23, 2005 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Edith Reid announce her passing on Tuesday, August 23rd , 2005 at the Corner Brook Interfaith Home, at the age of 87. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Shirley (Louie) MacDonald, Reidville, Fannie (Walter) Watkins, Deer Lake, Doris (Don) White, Montreal; sons: Clarence (Pauline) Reid, Eric (Minetta), Theodore (Ruby), all of Reidville, Clayton (Sylvia), Herbie (Michelle), both of Edmonton, Alberta; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters: Fran Radley, Toronto, Myrtle Rumbolt, Florence (Eugene) Reid, both of Reidville, Dorothy (Cal) Curlew, Deer Lake; stepsister May Zradicka, Manitoba; brother Leonard (Lizzie) Hiscock, Reidville; sisters-in-law: Florence Reid, Reidville, Fronia (Frank) Jenkins, Twillingate; brother-in-law Henry Reid, Stephenville; and special cousin Jack (Vera) Raike, Deer Lake; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert, parents Theodore and Frances Hiscock, step-mother Elizabeth Hiscock; brother Lorne Hiscock, and step-sister Edith Reid. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake, Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 26th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church, Deer Lake. Rev. Cannon David Pearce officiating Interment will follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery, Wight's Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
