SAUNDERS RHODA LILLIAN Corner Brook, NL 1933 - 2005 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rhoda Saunders announce her passing on Sunday, August 21st, 2005 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 72 . She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Hedley of 24 years. Hedley and Rhoda were married at St. Mary's Anglican Chruch, Corner Brook on December 27th, 1980 by Rev. William Bowring and Rev. Lloyd Collett. Also left to mourn are her three sons: Aubrey (Janie), York Harbour, Norman, Corner Brook and Ben (Glenda), Pasadena; two daughters: Dianne (Willey), Lark Harbour and Donna (Joseph) , Corner Brook. Seven grandchildren: Jason (Tracey), Charlene (Brad), Krissy, Margo (Anthony), Mark, Jennifer, Jonathon and Kevin; three great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Hailey and Amber. Two step-sons, eight step-daughters and a large number of step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Mark and Mary Childs, her first husband Reginald Freeman Sheppard; five sisters: Annie, Amelia, Louise, Sarah and Bertha; five brothers:, Jim, Willie, George, George II, and Ross, one son-in-law Randy and one step-son David. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 24th at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence street, officiated by Rev. Cathy Brett and Rev. Nellie Thomas. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery, Lark Harbour. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation, St. James Church, Lark Harbour or to the charity of ones choice.
