It is with great sadness that we the family of the late Henry Ashford announce his passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on August 5th, 2005. He was predeceased by his parents Augusts and Rita Ashford; son Raymond; two brothers: Stanley and Percey and a sister Mary. Leaving to mourn his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Ashford; five daughters: Shirley (Donald) Le Riche, Judy Ann (Timmy) Stevens, Ruby (Brian) Hann, Viola (Johnny) Skinner and Elsie Brake; three sons: Ross (Monica), Dave (Debbie) and John; along with thirty grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one sister Evea and a large circle of family and friends. Visitation took place on Saturday, August 6th from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, August 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port Aux Basques. The funeral service took place from St. James Anglican Church with Rev. H. Vallis officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery.
